Young Athletes
Youth training introduces kids to lifting weights while improving movement quality, balance, and posture. We prioritize safety and only add weight when they can demonstrate proper exercise form. Our primary areas of emphasis include ensuring safety, optimizing movement quality, enhancing joint stability, and fostering strength development for beginners.
High school: Ages 14-18
All kids at this age should be involved in a fitness or sports program for lifelong well-being. This is especially important for athletes in competitive sports to prevent injury and improve performance during long competitive seasons.
Middle school: Ages 11-14
This is a great time to learn fundamental movements and build a strong foundation of strength and athleticism, which will help in adjusting to new activities effectively.
Grade School: Ages 10 and younger
This is generally too early for weight training, but we do encourage parents to enroll their children in as many enjoyable physical activities as possible so they can develop a wide range of physical abilities.
“Jerry helped me start my first workout and soon I began to improve my strength and stamina. Before I knew it, I was 30lbs lighter and at my ideal weight. I now regularly take part in hiking, dragon boat races, and can do 20 pullups! I thoroughly enjoy having Jerry as my “coach” to keep me strong and healthy.”
